How large can be the amplitude of the corrected aberrations?

Standard 37-ch 15-mm mirror provides about 20000 nm of wavefront deformation for defocus. Third and fifth order aberrations with wavefront amplitudes of up to 3000 nm can be corrected. In general the dynamic range is higher for low spatial frequencies.

The maximum profile difference between the adjacent actuators reaches 800 nm for MMDM and can be as large as 3 µm for a PDM.
